Writing Tip: To Write Faster (pt.2)

Okay, since the last "to write faster" tip wasn't really a tip to write faster, here are some of my tips for writing short articles for less than an hour.

1. Time yourself

Practice makes perfect. When writing one composition or essay, set up the clock and note how long you finished it. The next time you write one, try beating that record. Do it for as low a time you could get without sacrificing the quality of your work.

2. Keep notes

I've said it over and over in this blog, keep a journal. Or at least list things in a piece of paper you can retrieve later. The point is to have your ideas written down instead of being kept in your mind. Write down sub-ideas and map them to a bigger ideas. This will shorten your writing time because you will minimize your pauses when thinking what to write.

3. Increase your typing speed

Sometimes the bottleneck for writing is our physical limitations. Try increasing the speed with which you type by taking free courses online.
